LCIEDC Mini-Grant

The Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation is delighted to announce its 2025 Mini-Grant Program, designed to foster the expansion of small and medium-sized businesses in the region. This initiative seeks to empower local enterprises to enhance their growth or undertake expansion efforts, offering grants of up to $4,000 for established businesses and $2,000 for new businesses. These funds can be utilized to support various projects or purchases that contribute to the development and sustainability of the business community. All applications must be received before June 23 at 5pm

Grant Program Eligibility

  • The business must be located in Grand Isle County
  • Fully complete the application
  • To qualify as an established business, you must:
    • Have been in business for more than 2 years.
    • Have revenues of greater than $10,000 in the previous fiscal year.
    • Submit a Profit and Loss statement for your previous fiscal year.
    • Submit a current Balance Sheet
  • To qualify as a new business, you must:
    • Submit a business plan.
    • Agree to attend an SBDC Workshop or be paired with a SCORE or CVOEO business counselor.

Previous award recipients may apply, but preference will be given to businesses who have not received a Mini-Grant in the past 3 years.

Vermont Training Program

VTP provides performance-based workforce grants for pre-employment training, training for new hires, and training for incumbent workers. This training can either be on-site or offered through an outside provider. VTP grants may cover up to 50% of the training cost. Visit champlainislands.com/grants for more information.
