Three entrepreneurs from the region have been selected to “pitch” their ideas and businesses at a special Road Pitch session on Thursday, August 6, at 3:30 p.m. at Snow Farm Vineyard in South Hero. The public is invited to attend. This will be the last stop in a four- day motorcycle tour of Vermont, in which a group of “business bikers” (comprised of investors, entrepreneurs and business advisors) have toured the state to listen to entrepreneurs pitch their business concepts.
The businesses and owners selected are: Landon Brewing: Ben Durant; Williston Workwear: Matthew Cohen and Stephanie Thompson; and Logan Szidik: Logan Richard. Each business will have seven minutes to “pitch” their idea before the group, and one person will go home with a cash prize, a VT Teddy Bear, and possibly some investment to boot.
Road Pitch is presented by the Lake Champlain Islands Economic Development Corporation and organized by Cairn Cross of Fresh Tracks Capital. Sponsors for Road Pitch are the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Gallagher, Flynn & Co., and Key Bank.
The Road Pitch event at Snow Farm Vineyard is free and open to the public. For more information call 372-8400.
